Francesco Molon Furniture for the Raffles The Palm Hotel in Dubai

Raffles The Palm Dubai, the brand's first resort in the Middle East, is a palace-style hotel on Palm Jumeirah built in the classical European manner and opened in October 2021. In 2020 Francesco Molon supplied the furniture for the whole property, from the guest suites to the lobby, lounges and restaurants, in the neoclassical language the Vicenza-based company has produced for over fifty years.

The order amounts to about 70,000 pieces: hand-carved solid wood seating, tables, consoles, mirrors and even wardrobe hangers, finished with gold and silver leaf, marquetry and silk and velvet upholstery. Each piece was made in Italy by hand, so no two are identical. The hotel keeps a 200 m² workshop on site, run by a furniture master and three craftsmen, to maintain the collection.

For FF&E consultants and hospitality developers evaluating Italian furniture for hospitality projects, Raffles The Palm shows a single Italian manufacturer delivering a complete palace hotel at this scale, with production, finishing and after-sales care planned as one programme.
