Contemporary Rural Residence Orvieto – Borzalino Luxury Villa Interiors Italy

Set on the rolling hills surrounding Orvieto, this remarkable private residence reinterprets the spirit of central Italy's countryside through a contemporary architectural lens. Developed in collaboration with interior designer Deniz Onel, the single-storey farmhouse, organised around an open central loggia, engages in constant dialogue with its landscape through wide sliding glass doors and an open-air pavilion connecting the two volumes that compose the home.

The living spaces draw their palette directly from the refined rural character of the region, where centuries of careful land cultivation have shaped a harmonious relationship between nature and architecture. Warm, decisive tones of Canaletto walnut and natural stones — Sahara Noir, Carrara, and Travertine — meet the softer luminosity of Nabuk and Ghost leather upholstery and coarse-weave textiles in cream, grey, and sand, while clear glass adds a final note of lightness throughout.

In the first pavilion, the living room welcomes an Ayton corner sofa with matching pouf, paired with a set of Hellis swivel armchairs for a dynamic, convivial atmosphere. The second pavilion centres on the timeless Greg sofa alongside elegant Lisa armchairs. Transitional spaces are equally considered: the TV room features the Shifu sofa, while the corridor showcases the instantly recognisable Minerva bench.

The scheme is completed by an extensive collection of bespoke coffee tables, poufs, mirrors, benches, and accessories — including the Hug trays — all custom-made by Borzalino to integrate seamlessly with the residence's distinctive layout, where shared living spaces form the true heart of the project.
