Borzalino Furniture for a Contemporary Rural Residence near Orvieto

This single-storey country house stands in the hills around Orvieto, Umbria, and is built as two volumes joined by an open central loggia. Wide sliding glass doors open the living rooms onto the lawn and the open-air courtyard. Interior designer Deniz Onel furnished the house in 2025 with Borzalino pieces, both standard and custom-made.

The palette follows the rural setting: Canaletto walnut, Sahara Noir, Carrara and travertine stone, Nabuk and Ghost leather, chunky-weave fabrics in cream, grey and sand, and clear glass. In one wing the living room has an Ayton sectional sofa with its pouf and Hellis swivel armchairs; in the other, a Greg sofa with Greg bench and Lisa armchairs. The TV room has the Shifu sofa and bench, the corridor the Minerva bench. Coffee tables (Paul 2, Paul 3, B170), the B190 console, Clio poufs, the Anita mirror and Hug trays were made to measure for the layout.

For architects selecting Italian furniture for residential projects, the Orvieto house shows a complete Borzalino scheme, over twenty references, coordinated across two living pavilions and the service spaces between them.
