Palazzo 42 Boutique Hotel & Suites

Nestled in the historic heart of Pistoia, one of Tuscany's most intimate and culturally rich cities, Palazzo 42 occupies a distinguished early twentieth-century manor that underwent a thorough and sensitive renovation. The intervention preserved the building's original architectural character — with its layered patina of history — while introducing a contemporary design vision of refined elegance. The result is a boutique hotel and suites destination where every detail has been conceived to elevate the guest experience to something genuinely personal and memorable.

The interior furnishing project, developed in collaboration with Maior Contract, turned to Borzalino's collection for a selection of pieces capable of bridging historical grandeur and present-day comfort. Armchairs from the Diva, Mia, and Eve Plus lines bring softness and sculptural character to the suites and common areas, while the Harmony sofa and the Neil chair add compositional depth and functional versatility across different spaces.

Custom and bespoke elements complete the furnishing scheme with a distinctive identity: the B195 writing desk — customised for the project — anchors the working areas, while entirely made-to-measure pieces including two distinct bed typologies, end-of-bed benches, and round pouffes define the private rooms with an intimate, tailored atmosphere that reflects the spirit of Tuscan hospitality at its most refined.

Palazzo 42 stands as a testament to the capacity of Italian contract design to honour the past while shaping spaces that feel unmistakably of the present — an address where beauty, comfort, and culture converge in perfect measure.
