Illuminated Travertine Outdoor Furniture at Villa Berloni, Pesaro

Villa Berloni is a historic residence in Pesaro, in the Marche region, set among tree-lined avenues, clipped hedges and sculpted gardens. DFN furnished its outdoor spaces with the Eternal pieces of the Dolcefarniente collection, placing contemporary illuminated stone inside a classical landscape.

The Eternal elements are sofas, benches, daybeds and low tables carved from travertine and lit from within, so the stone glows at dusk and the seating groups become light sources in the garden. A sunken circular lounge, a long illuminated bench on the central axis of the park and a poolside daybed show the range. Mirrored stainless-steel tables and consoles from the Barcellona line were chosen deliberately to break the stone theme and add a reflective, glamorous counterpoint.

For landscape architects and owners of historic properties specifying Italian furniture for residential projects, Villa Berloni shows how illuminated stone furniture can be installed in a protected garden without altering the architecture.
