Bespoke Italian Furniture for The Landmark Winter Garden, London

The Landmark is one of London’s best-known hotels, a Victorian building converted from a National Rail office into a grand hotel from 1993 onwards. When the English studio Alex Kravetz Design renovated its Winter Garden and added a Champagne bar, Fratelli Boffi furnished the atrium with custom-made pieces; in 2024 the company returned to re-furnish the guest rooms and suites.

The Winter Garden furniture combines dark marble counters and tables with brass inserts and upholstered chairs with ebony finishes and gold-leaf carvings. These pieces follow the lines of the Victorian atrium, so that the elegance of the materials and the quality of the craftsmanship read as part of the architecture. The Winter Garden won the “Design Award” as Best lobby/public space area 2023 Europe.

For hotel owners and FF&E teams refurbishing historic buildings, the project shows one Italian workshop delivering bespoke pieces for public areas and rooms in two phases: Italian furniture for hospitality projects, made to measure for one of the city’s grand hotels.
