Italian Beds and Interiors for a Historic Villa on Lake Como
Perched on the hills of Brunate above Lake Como, Villa Jolanda is a historic residence turned hospitality venue. The interior project is by Angelo Cappellini and Opera Contemporary, developed with Garamonds around a shared idea of Italian hospitality: contemporary comfort inside rooms that keep their period character.
The guest rooms are furnished with Opera Contemporary beds — Clarissa, Osiride and Ivette — alongside original period pieces with soft lines and natural tones; refined fabrics and a delicate palette make the rooms intimate and restful. The distinctive piece of the project is the wooden annex devoted to the traditional five o’clock tea, designed by Angelo Cappellini as a Louis XV-style sitting room: sofas, armchairs, chairs and glass-topped tables with sculpted details and fine finishes.
For hoteliers and designers restoring historic properties, the villa is a reference for Italian furniture for hospitality projects: two brands of the same group covering both the contemporary guest rooms and the classical reception space, in a single coordinated supply.
