Solid Wood Furniture for Atelier Aldo Coppola Isola in Milan
At Via Borsieri 29 in Milan, Atelier Aldo Coppola Isola marks the brand’s return to a place closely tied to the history of the Coppola family. Riva 1920 made the solid wood furniture for the new atelier: the pieces were conceived by Aldo Coppola Jr. and belong to the AC Design Wood Nature Collection.
The project is built around Cedar of Lebanon. Riva 1920 uses trunks from trees already felled by private owners and municipalities as part of land management, recovering the timber and turning it into solid wood furniture. The collection includes the Bekkuccio mirrors, the Komoda seating, the Audrey bench and La Pettineuse, a wardrobe element with a strongly iconic character; the project also features the Clessidra stool designed by Mario Botta.
For retail brands planning flagship spaces, the atelier shows how Italian furniture for retail projects in solid wood can become part of the architectural language, combining natural material, design and attention to detail in functional pieces.
