The lantern belongs to the 1956 line, the part of the Badari catalogue that revisits the factory's historic models. The design is that of the arm-suspended lantern: the body hangs freely from the scroll rather than being fixed rigidly to the wall, and that detail — functional in origin, when the lantern was raised by hand — remains what distinguishes the piece from any outdoor ceiling fitting.

The work is entirely manual: the brass is shaped, welded and finished by hand, and the ivory finish is applied in several passes with antiquing worked into the relief. For that reason the finish can be customised on request, to match the colour of the render or the stone. The five E14 sources are not included: for outdoor use they should be chosen with a protection rating suited to the real exposure of the installation point. Made to order in Italy.
