The name immediately evokes the splendid Australian city. In particular, the curved shapes that chase each other in the design of the backrest recall the lines of the Opera House. That’s how this became the name of the armchair: born from the intention to give the backrest a new look, using leather instead of the soft leathers typical of upholstered furniture, as was once done in English and colonial armchairs. Of course, it is necessary to transform the work from “upholstery” to “saddlery”, but it allows the creation of a new expressive vocabulary without sacrificing comfort: the curved, fan-like cuts are necessary to shape the volumes, but at the same time they add personality to the whole. The wooden structure supports the fabric seat, softly contrasting with the backrest. The stitching details and material combinations enrich the whole.
