The Sorrento project was born from the request for a table that would meet the needs of Chinese clientele, who traditionally prefer round tables. In particular, there was a request for a large table to comfortably accommodate 8 guests. Additionally, it was asked that the table have a rotating center disk, which, according to Chinese custom, allows access to shared dishes placed in the center by spinning it. This function was emphasized by creating a contrast of materials between the top, in wood with grain arranged in 4 inlay sections, and the Lazy Susan rotating disk in stone or marble.
