The Demi-Lune console table takes its name from its half-moon, or demi-lune, silhouette, a form long associated with formal French and Italian entrance halls. The lime wood frame is finished with hand-applied silver leaf detailing across the apron and tapered legs, giving the piece a cool, refined tone. Its Pink onyx top brings a warm, translucent surface that catches ambient light differently through the day. The table is shallow enough to sit flush against a wall in an entrance hall, formal corridor or stair landing. Onyx is a naturally porous stone, so the top should be kept away from prolonged moisture and cleaned only with non-abrasive products. It is one of Francesco Molon's more compact design tables made in Italy. It works equally well as a single statement piece or paired symmetrically either side of a doorway. It brings a quiet, sculptural welcome to the first room a guest sees.
