Drawing on the ornamental language of 18th-century French furniture, the Louis XV bed is one of the most elaborate pieces in Francesco Molon's Classic collection. The walnut wood structure is hand-carved and finished with gold leaf detailing across the frame. The headboard is upholstered in fabric category C, sized for a standard box spring. As with all Francesco Molon's hand-carved and gilded pieces, small variations in tone are part of the finish rather than a flaw, since each frame is decorated by hand. The box spring, mattress and loose pillows are supplied separately and are not included with the bed. The result is a bedroom centrepiece built for interiors that embrace historical grandeur without compromise, pairing the warmth of natural walnut with the reflective richness of gold leaf.
