Each IRON-IC module is laser cut from sheet metal and folded so that the wavy shelves interlock with the wavy uprights, a joint that gives the structure its rigidity without any visible bracket or bolt. Because the modules are identical, they can be stacked vertically, ranged horizontally or repeated across an entire wall, and the exposed cut edges are deburred and coated so the profile stays crisp. The depth of 30 cm is sized for art books and folio volumes while keeping the unit slim enough for a corridor. Finishes are offered across the stippled powder-coated ranges, from white, titanium and graphite through to copper, brass, taupe, sage and pistachio, allowing single-tone or mixed compositions.
