Bolle in Aria by Esperia is one of the most ethereal creations within the iconic Quasars collection, born in the late 1960s through the artistic collaboration with Angelo Brotto. Conceived during an era fascinated by the universe and space exploration, these luminous sculptures were designed to establish a dialogue between lighting design and artistic expression.

The wall-mounted composition is characterized by a dynamic cluster of Murano glass spheres in soft transparent, amber and aquamarine hues. The spheres appear to float effortlessly across the surface, creating a sense of movement and weightlessness. A sculptural brass element anchors the composition, adding depth and contrast to the lightness of the glass.

The light, filtered through the glass spheres, generates delicate reflections and layered transparency, producing a luminous atmosphere that feels both surreal and timeless. Presented at Euroluce during Salone del Mobile, the Quasars collection became a defining symbol of Esperia worldwide.

Today, Bolle in Aria is reissued strictly according to Angelo Brotto’s original drawings, preserving traditional craftsmanship and long-standing collaborations with historic Murano glassworks such as Venini and Moretti.
