Oceano by Esperia is one of the most evocative creations of the historic Quasars collection, born in the late 1960s through the collaboration with Angelo Brotto. Inspired by the era’s fascination with the universe and natural forces, these luminous sculptures were conceived as a bridge between lighting design and fine art.

The wall-mounted composition showcases an organic cluster of Murano glass crystals in deep aquatic hues, reminiscent of ocean waves and submerged landscapes. The irregular surfaces of the glass capture and refract light, creating movement, depth and a dynamic play of reflections. Brass structural elements support the composition, enhancing its sculptural and architectural presence.

First presented at Euroluce during Salone del Mobile, the Quasars collection became a defining symbol of Esperia worldwide. Today, Oceano is reissued strictly according to Angelo Brotto’s original drawings, preserving traditional craftsmanship and long-standing collaborations with historic Murano glassworks such as Venini and Moretti.
