The Plinto sideboard takes its name from the plinth, the solid base that grounds a column or a statue. Francesco Molon translates that idea into a case piece built for presence rather than ornament. The structure combines solid wood with medium-density panels, lacquered to a glossy finish. Painted metal profiles trace the base and edges, adding a precise, graphic line. The top is cut from Ombra di Caravaggio marble, prized for its dramatic dark veining. Marble is a natural, porous material, so the top should be protected from spills and cleaned only with non-abrasive products. As one of Francesco Molon's Italian sideboards, it belongs to the Prospettiva collection, where classical architecture is reinterpreted in a modern-contemporary key. It is designed for interiors that favour bold, sculptural volumes over historical ornament.

100% Made in Italy
The Francesco Molon Plinto sideboard channels the solid geometry of a classical plinth into a piece for the contemporary dining room. Its structure combines solid wood with panels lacquered to a glossy finish. Painted metal profiles trace the base and edges. A dark, veined Ombra di Caravaggio marble top completes the piece. Part of the Prospettiva collection, it is one of Francesco Molon's most architectural Italian sideboards.
