Italian Luxury Lighting by Sylcom Now Available on 101domus

One of Italy's most distinguished luxury lighting manufacturers has officially joined the 101domus international design network.

Selected Sylcom collections are now available on the platform, offering architects, interior designers, developers and private clients direct access to handcrafted lighting solutions that combine Venetian glassmaking tradition with contemporary design.

Rather than presenting lighting as individual decorative objects, 101domus introduces Sylcom through a curated digital experience where chandeliers, pendant lights, wall lamps and bespoke lighting systems become part of complete luxury interiors designed to inspire residential and hospitality projects.

The arrival of Sylcom further strengthens the 101domus selection of Italian manufacturers recognised for craftsmanship, design excellence and bespoke production.

For more than five decades, Sylcom has interpreted the tradition of Venetian glassmaking through collections that balance craftsmanship, innovation and architectural elegance.

Every lighting piece is handcrafted by skilled artisans using techniques that transform blown glass into sculptural lighting designed for contemporary interiors. Rather than reproducing historical styles, Sylcom continuously reinterprets Venetian craftsmanship through collections that adapt naturally to luxury villas, refined apartments, boutique hotels and prestigious hospitality environments.

This approach allows architects and designers to specify lighting that becomes an integral part of the architectural concept rather than a simple decorative accessory.

The first collections are now available through Sylcom Products, where additional products will continue to expand the brand catalogue on 101domus.

Sylcom lighting has contributed to prestigious residential, hospitality and contract projects where Italian craftsmanship is recognised as an essential element of luxury interiors.

Its handcrafted production, bespoke capabilities and refined design language allow the brand to respond to projects requiring customised lighting solutions, exclusive finishes and architectural integration.

From private villas and luxury residences to hotels and representative spaces, Sylcom demonstrates how decorative lighting can become a defining component of the overall design concept.

Professionals interested in discovering international projects developed with leading Italian brands can explore the dedicated Projects section on 101domus.

The first Sylcom collections on 101domus show the breadth of handcrafted Murano glass lighting. The Can Can 12-light chandelier pairs smoked Murano glass with grey fabric lampshades on a polished chrome structure, while the six-light Ocean version brings the same language to a more compact scale with white lampshades. The Balbi 8-light chandelier is made with the rigadin technique in milky white and grey glass, and the Aphros hanging light is a handcrafted Murano glass pendant with a bullicante texture, designed by Oriano Favaretto.

Wall, ceiling and linear solutions complete the range. The Bembo ceiling light arranges Murano glass leaves in a crystal clear composition, its wall lamp counterpart adds 24kt gold glass leaves on a polished gold frame, and the Bucintoro wall lamp combines smoked and 24kt gold Murano glass with gold bronzing. The Bon Bon hanging light introduces a decorative Murano glass spine with a premium fabric lampshade, and the Can Can linear pendant extends the smoked glass theme into a ten-light format that can follow the length of a table or console.

Lighting works best when scale, colour and light distribution are specified together, and the Sylcom range gives designers several variables to play with. The Can Can family, for example, moves from six to twelve and eighteen lights and from compact to large diameters, so the same visual language can serve an entrance hall, a dining room or a double-height living space. Glass colours such as smoked, ocean, amethyst, milk white and denim let a specifier tune the chandelier to the palette of walls, textiles and finishes without leaving the collection.

Wall lamps and ceiling lights extend the scheme into corridors, bedrooms and hospitality suites, where a consistent glass vocabulary helps unify spaces designed in phases. Because every piece is handcrafted in Murano glass, each composition carries the subtle variations that distinguish artisanal lighting from industrial production, a quality architects often look for in luxury residential and boutique hotel projects.

With more than five decades of experience interpreting Venetian glassmaking, Sylcom brings to 101domus a clear identity: craftsmanship, innovation and architectural elegance expressed through chandeliers, pendants, wall lamps and bespoke lighting systems. For architects, interior designers, developers and private clients, the platform now offers a direct way to explore these collections, compare models and approach lighting as an integral part of the architectural concept.
