The Balbi collection by Sylcom reimagines the timeless aesthetics of Venetian chandelier-making for the contemporary interior. Named after one of Venice's most storied noble families, Balbi brings together the organic beauty of hand-blown Murano glass and the refined precision of polished metalwork. The 6-light version (1537/6) presents a graceful circular arrangement of alternating milky white spherical shades and translucent Denim blue glass elements — a colour that evokes the deep, vibrant blues of the Venetian lagoon. The arms and connecting elements are worked using the rigadin technique, a traditional method that creates delicate, fine ridges in the glass surface, adding subtle texture and a luminous quality that catches the light beautifully. Each piece is individually hand-blown by master glassblowers in Venice, ensuring that no two chandeliers are entirely alike. Available in Polished Chrome or Polished Gold metal finish, the Balbi 1537/6 integrates seamlessly into both modern minimalist and classically inspired interiors.
