The ceramic slab is bonded to a glass backing that keeps the profile at a slender fourteen millimetres while protecting the surface against heat, scratches and staining, so the table handles daily family use as easily as formal entertaining. Every band of the base is shaped and finished by hand in the Zanè workshop before receiving its painted metal finish, and the two supports stand well inboard of the ends, so the whole base reads as one continuous line drawn under the top. Custom sizes are available, letting SLICE be tailored to long dining rooms, private clubs and executive meeting spaces.
