Tantisassi extends the Stones collection, which brings nature into the home and blurs the border between inside and outside. Its organic forms playfully redefine what a sofa looks like. Placed in the middle of a room, it reads as an installation from every side.
The structure is tubular metal with plywood, on steel feet 6 cm high. Supports in chromed steel have plastic ground rests. The padding is cold-foamed Rofoam, a material patented by Rossi di Albizzate, covered with Dacron batting. The upholstery is fixed and is not available in leather or non-stretch fabrics.
TANTISASSI Sofa
100% Made in Italy
The Rossi di Albizzate TANTISASSI sofa is a landscape of soft stones gathered into one seat. Matteo Thun composed it from many stone-like elements of different sizes. The version pictured mixes sage green, pale grey, ivory and a deep brown accent. A stretch fabric of wool and bi-elastic Lycra wraps each shape tightly. It is a collectible design sofa made in Italy, as much sculpture as seating. Upholstery comes in three colours of your choice.
