The idea was inspired by observing the shell of a nautilus: each individual segment, simple in shape, when joined to the next in a curvilinear progression, creates an extremely strong structure. This applies not only in nature: Skipper features a curved plywood structure made of very simple components, and their combination results in an exceptionally lightweight and durable form. On the outside, leather covers each segment, highlighting the nautilus-inspired design. Inside, a padded shell creates the ideal cocoon for relaxed seating.
