The Bucintoro takes its name from the Bucintoro, the magnificent ceremonial galley of the Doges of Venice — a vessel so lavishly gilded and adorned that it became a symbol of Serenissima's power and splendour. Sylcom's homage to this legend is executed in pure Murano blown glass: every single component of the chandelier, from the ornate bossole (cylindrical lantern-bodies) to the sottotazza (cup-shaped bases), from the sinuous pastorali (curling arms) to the cornucopie (horn-shaped decorations), puntali (finials) and passasorse (connecting elements), is individually hand-blown by master glassblowers in the traditional Venetian ateliers. The 3-light format of the Bucintoro translates this palatial tradition into a scale suited to more intimate spaces — a private dining room, a grand bedroom, a boutique hotel corridor — without sacrificing any of the collection's extraordinary decorative density. In Ivory and 24kt Gold (BLAV.ORO), the glass radiates a warm, creamy luminosity accented by the shimmer of genuine 24-carat gold leaf fused within the Murano glass.
