Designed by Gino Carollo, the MANTRA Armchair shares its origami-like construction with the taller headrest version but stops at shoulder height, so it can be placed in the middle of a room or in pairs facing a low table without blocking sightlines. The non-removable cover is cut, stretched and hand-stitched over a shaped frame with graduated padding, and the leather is deliberately gathered at the arm tips to reveal the softness underneath the crisp facets. The four painted metal rods are welded and finished by hand at the factory in Zanè, Veneto, angling outwards for stability. Fabric and customer's own material covers are available for projects that call for a different palette.
