Where the Crystal and Amethyst versions scatter cold, prismatic light, the Fumé glass absorbs and warms it — filtering the light sources into a rich, amber-golden luminescence that fills even the largest spaces with an enveloping, palazzo-evening atmosphere. The 24-carat gold leaf fused within the Murano smoked glass mass adds a warm metallic shimmer that plays against the dark transparency of the Fumé base, creating a layered, complex visual depth that changes character with every variation in the light. At Ø 147 cm and H 198 cm, with its more than 400 individually hand-blown components — bossole cylindrical bodies, sottotazza cup bases, pastorali arms, cornucopie, puntali and passasorse — the 10-light Bucintoro FU.ORO is one of the most ambitious objects in the contemporary Italian lighting landscape.
