The Historical Archive Reissues faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. The originals are kept today in the Bitossi Archive in Montelupo Fiorentino. Each reissue carries the inventory number of the original piece on its base, together with the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli.
Londi was a painter, a sculptor and above all a ceramist, and his figures often blend object and portrait. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes his designs in the Tuscan town where the company was founded in 1921. The vase brings a smile to a bookcase, a kitchen shelf or a child's room. It can hold a few flowers, or simply stand as a small character.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO anthropomorphic vase reissues a 1969 design by Aldo Londi. Its tall cylindrical body becomes a little figure, with a painted face at the top and two loop handles as arms. The mouth of the vase opens like a hat above the eyes. Blue and green brushstrokes draw a checked shirt and striped trousers on a glossy zinc-white ground. The result is ironic, tender and full of character. It is produced in a limited edition of 199 pieces.
