The Rimini Blu collection was designed by Aldo Londi and has been produced without interruption since 1959. Its name is a tribute to the Romagna Riviera. Quick touches of colour are fixed beneath the blue glaze, and the crystalline layer makes them luminous. The metal stand adds height and turns the bird into a small monument.
Londi led Bitossi as art director from the 1950s, opening a season of research and experimentation. The company has been based in Montelupo Fiorentino since its foundation in 1921. On a console or a sideboard, the bird creates a vertical accent among lower Rimini Blu pieces.

The Bitossi Ceramiche RIMINI BLU bird figurine seems to float above the surface it stands on. The ceramic bird, with its crescent-shaped body and raised tail, is mounted on a thin metal rod. A square black base keeps the whole piece light and stable. Stamped motifs run along the body in neat bands. A vibrant blue crystalline glaze makes them shine like reflections on the sea. It is a luxury designer sculpture with a modern, graphic presence.
