Aldo Londi created the Rimini Blu collection, made without interruption since 1959. The name is a tribute to the Romagna Riviera and its summer light. Quick touches of colour sit beneath the blue glaze, and the crystalline layer makes them glow. The sun is one of the most recognisable subjects of the series.

It is also among the iconic subjects chosen for Rimini Blu Le Miniature, the edition that celebrates seventy years of stamp engraving. Bitossi Ceramiche has worked in Montelupo Fiorentino since 1921. Placed next to the animal figurines, the sun adds a warm, playful note to a Mediterranean interior.
