The Historical Archive Reissues faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. The originals are kept today in the Bitossi Archive in Montelupo Fiorentino. Each reissue carries the inventory number of the original piece on its base, together with the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli.
Londi was a painter, a sculptor and above all a ceramist. As art director, he opened a season of research and experimentation at Bitossi in the 1950s. His animal figures are among the most recognisable icons of that period. The hen pairs well with other pieces from the Archive, or with a contemporary vase for a lively contrast.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO hen figurine brings back a 1963 design by Aldo Londi. The master ceramist shaped the style of the Tuscan manufacture for more than fifty years. The rounded body is covered in modelled scales that catch the light. The silver finish turns every relief into a small reflection. It is a luxury designer sculpture for a shelf, a console or a mantelpiece. Made in a limited edition of 149 pieces, it is a true collector's piece of Italian ceramic art.
