Aldo Londi designed the Rimini Blu collection, produced without interruption since 1959. Its name recalls the Romagna Riviera, a destination loved by international tourists. Beneath the blue glaze, quick touches of colour bring the stamped pattern to life. The crystalline layer gives the surface a luminous depth.

Londi, painter, sculptor and ceramist, collaborated with Bitossi for more than fifty years. His animals combine a few essential volumes with a rich decorative rhythm. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes them in Montelupo Fiorentino, where it was founded in 1921. The lapwing pairs nicely with the dove and the other birds of the series.
