Aldo Londi designed the Rimini Blu collection, produced without interruption since 1959. Its name pays homage to the Romagna Riviera, a major destination for international tourism. Quick touches of colour are set beneath the blue glaze, and the crystalline layer makes them luminous. The result is a fantastical round dance of geometric signs.

Painter, sculptor and above all ceramist, Londi worked with Bitossi for more than fifty years, first as art director. The company was founded in 1921 in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the collection is still made today. The bull looks striking next to other Rimini Blu animals, or alone on a contemporary shelf.
