The name Rimini Blu pays homage to the Romagna Riviera, a major destination for international tourism. Beneath the blue glaze, quick touches of colour bring the geometric pattern to life. The crystalline layer gives the surface its luminous, marine depth. The same ball vase is made in three sizes, and this is the large one.
The collection reflects the constant research of Aldo Londi into new materials, techniques and colours. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes it in Montelupo Fiorentino, the Tuscan town where the company was founded in 1921. Next to the medium and small versions, the large ball vase anchors a bold composition.

The Bitossi Ceramiche RIMINI BLU ball vase is shown here in its largest and most impressive size. The generous sphere closes into a small, neat neck. Graphic motifs are stamped into the surface in bands, like a round dance of geometric signs. A vibrant blue crystalline glaze makes them shine like reflections on the sea. Designed by Aldo Londi, the collection has been produced without interruption since 1959. It is a luxury designer vase that works as a sculpture on the floor or a sideboard.
