Tagliata means cut in Italian, and the series is built on clean, decisive shapes. The Historical Archive Reissues faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. Each piece carries the inventory number of the original and the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli on its base.
Londi was a painter, a sculptor and above all a ceramist. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes his designs in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. The box can hold jewellery, sweets or small objects on a desk or a dresser. Next to the Tagliata vases, it completes a coherent and elegant group.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO Tagliata series box reissues a 1971 design by Aldo Londi. Its compact cylindrical body is closed by a flat lid with a large semicircular handle. The arch rises like a small sculpture and makes the box easy to open. Outside, a rough manganese-brown glaze covers the body and the handle. A band of glossy white along the rim and the lid lights up the dark surface. It is a rare piece, produced in a limited edition of only 99 pieces.
