Material: slip-cast ceramic / white clay
Finish: lava black and glossy peach pink spiral column
Presented in 2019, the Colonne collection features six sculptures made of stacked elements: cylinders of different sizes and diameters that form fragmented columns. They are slip cast in white clay and coated with glossy, matte, craquelé or lava-effect glazes. The palette includes pastel and neutral tones such as white, peach pink, ochre, forest green, black and lava black.
David Lopez Quincoces and Fanny Bauer Grung lead Quincoces-Dragò & Partners, a Milan-based architecture and design studio. Their essential style mixes clean lines, neutral colours and a balance of contemporary and vintage, and in 2023 they were selected for the AD100 list of Architectural Digest. Next to the taller black Colonne vases, it adds a warm, playful accent.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche COLONNE bud vase by Quincoces-Dragò sets a lively spiral against a solid, dark base. A ribbed column of stacked rings rises off-centre, like a coiled spring or a screw thread. It is glazed in glossy peach pink, which makes every ring catch the light. Below, a low cylinder in rough lava black anchors the composition. The contrast of warm and dark, shiny and porous, gives the piece a strong graphic character. It is a designer vase for a single stem.
