Presented in 2023, the Era collection includes two centerpieces and a vase decorated with material discarded during the production process of Bitossi Ceramiche. By placing recovered ceramic fragments in a new formal context, the designer reaches an aesthetic of regeneration and sustainability. The pieces are made on the wheel and with slabs of white clay, then finished with glaze and crystalline.

Duccio Maria Gambi is an experimental designer who, after his studies, moved to the Netherlands and then to Paris. His work explores structures, materials and processes in his atelier in Florence. His work in stone and laminate won the Cedit Award at Miart 2017 and belongs to the permanent collection of the Triennale di Milano. The inner bowl can hold fruit, while the ring of fragments frames it like a jewel setting.

ERA Centerpiece

Available in 3/4 weeks
100% Made in Italy

The Bitossi Ceramiche ERA centerpiece by Duccio Maria Gambi is a round, deep form in glossy white with a double wall. Between the outer rim and the inner bowl, a channel is filled with coloured ceramic fragments. The shards come from the production waste of the manufacture and gain a new life here. Red, yellow, blue and green chips create a joyful, irregular mosaic. It is a luxury home accessory for a dining table or a sideboard, with a clear message of sustainability.
