Tribe consists of six circular bowls and vases that stack one into another, presented by Bitossi Ceramiche in 2007. The original palette was later joined by matte black and scarlet red. A glossy and matte contrasting version followed in night blue, brown and ochre yellow. The centerpiece comes in three sizes, and this is the small one.
Arik Levy translates concepts into products and spaces into experiences. With L Design, his multidisciplinary studio in Paris, he moves from sculpture and installations to everyday industrial products. His studio has received major design awards, including five Red Dot Design Awards. Bitossi Ceramiche makes Tribe in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921.

The Bitossi Ceramiche TRIBE centerpiece by Arik Levy is the smallest of the Tribe centerpieces. A wide bowl with a bevelled edge flares out from a narrow cylindrical foot. The wheel-thrown walls carry the fine scratched texture that expresses the craftsmanship of the collection. The version shown pairs a matte brown exterior with a glossy ochre yellow interior. It is produced in a limited edition of 199 pieces. Compact and warm, it suits a coffee table, a desk or a bedside table.
