Simbolik is the first collection Karim Rashid created for Bitossi Ceramiche, launched in 2006 and still produced in a limited edition. Totems, vases and bowls make up this series of signs and symbols. Their magnetic, vibrant colours range from fuchsia to pistachio green and from canary yellow to silver. Each piece is slip cast in white clay. Every geometric and graphic element is repeated endlessly, in form and decoration alike, in the designer's distinctive style.
Born in Egypt, Karim Rashid lives and works in New York and is known for his democratic approach to design. An eclectic figure, he moves between interiors, fashion, furniture, art and music. His works are part of many permanent collections and are exhibited in galleries worldwide. Bitossi Ceramiche makes the collection in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. Set next to a Simbolik bowl in green or pink, the cross vase completes a vivid, coordinated display.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche SIMBOLIK cross vase by Karim Rashid stacks three graphic elements into a playful vertical form. The mouth is a lime green four-lobed cross with a black interior. A long yellow cone rises from a rounded, H-shaped base in a warm raspberry tone. Every surface is covered in a glossy glaze that makes the contrasts pop. This is the large version of the cross vase. It is a designer vase produced in a limited edition of 199 pieces.
