The Historical Archive Reissues faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi designed for Bitossi; the collection was launched in 2003. The originals are kept today in the Bitossi Archive in Montelupo Fiorentino. Each reissue carries the inventory number of the original piece on its base, together with the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli.
Londi was a painter, a sculptor and above all a ceramist, and he guided the artistic direction of Bitossi for decades. The decorative plates of 1985 make texture the true subject of the work. This luminous green slab works like a small wall of light on a shelf, a console or a bookcase. It pairs well with other pieces from the Archive, or with a contemporary vase.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO decorative plate brings back a 1985 design by Aldo Londi. The slab is covered in deep, wavy ridges that run across its whole surface. They were drawn into the soft clay with a nylon wire, a gesture that leaves every fold slightly different. A glossy green crystalline glaze gathers in the grooves and lights up the reliefs. Made in a limited edition of 99 pieces, it is a true collector's piece.
