The Rimini Blu collection has been produced without interruption since 1959. Its name pays homage to the Romagna Riviera, a major destination for international tourism. Quick touches of colour are set beneath the blue glaze, and the crystalline layer makes them luminous. The horse is made in two sizes, and this is the larger one.

Aldo Londi, painter, sculptor and ceramist, collaborated with Bitossi for more than fifty years. His horses are among the most recognisable icons of the company. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes them in Montelupo Fiorentino, where it was founded in 1921. Paired with the small horse or the horse head, it creates a striking group on a sideboard.
