The Historical Archive Reissues faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. The originals are kept today in the Bitossi Archive in Montelupo Fiorentino. Each reissue carries the inventory number of the original piece on its base, together with the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli.
Londi was a painter, a sculptor and above all a ceramist, and his animals are among the best-loved icons of Bitossi. The company still makes his designs in the Tuscan town where it was founded in 1921. The black and white cat is a luxury designer sculpture for a shelf, a desk or a windowsill. It pairs well with the yellow wheel cat from the same collection.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO tabby cat figurine comes from the Safari series, designed by Aldo Londi in 1966-67. The long, low body stretches out as if the cat were stalking its prey. Bold black stripes run across the back and the tail, like the coat of a small tiger. The round face has wide eyes and fine whiskers, drawn with a few graphic lines. Matte black and glossy white alternate over the whole piece. It is produced in a limited edition of 399 pieces.
