Aldo Londi introduced stamp engraving among the decorative techniques of Bitossi in 1956. His animal figures, from cats to horses, became icons of the Tuscan manufacture. The Historical Archive Reissues, launched in 2003, bring back pieces created between the 1950s and the 1970s. Each carries the inventory number of the original and the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli on its base.
Londi worked with Bitossi for more than fifty years, first as art director and later as a collaborator. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes his designs in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. The wheel cat is a luxury designer sculpture for a shelf, a desk or a child's room. It pairs well with the tabby cat and the other Archive animals.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO wheel cat figurine reissues a 1962 design by Aldo Londi. The long cylindrical body stands on four short legs, with a raised tail and a round, smiling face. Rows of stamped motifs run along its sides like a patterned coat. A bright glossy yellow glaze makes the whole figure cheerful and graphic. Simple and ironic at the same time, it shows all the wit of Londi's animal world. It is produced in a limited edition of 349 pieces, a true collector's piece.
