Simbolik is the first collection Karim Rashid created for Bitossi Ceramiche, launched in 2006 and still produced in a limited edition. Totems, vases and bowls make up this series of signs and symbols. Their magnetic, vibrant colours range from fuchsia to pistachio green and from canary yellow to silver. Each piece is slip cast in white clay. Every geometric and graphic element is repeated endlessly, in form and decoration alike, in the designer's distinctive style.
Born in Egypt, Karim Rashid lives and works in New York and is known for his democratic approach to design. An eclectic figure, he moves between interiors, fashion, furniture, art and music. His works are part of many permanent collections and are exhibited in galleries worldwide. Bitossi Ceramiche makes the collection in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. Its fresh green and pink tones pair well with the Simbolik bowls in the same shades.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche SIMBOLIK five-piece totem by Karim Rashid rises like a stylised plant made of symbols. A lime green quatrefoil opens at the top on a white cone. Below, a stack of ribbed silver discs adds a metallic rhythm. A pink hourglass and a white disc form the base. The glossy glaze gives each colour a bright, candy-like depth. It is a luxury designer sculpture produced in a limited edition of 199 pieces. On a shelf or a mantelpiece, it becomes a small monument to colour and form.
