Simbolik is the first collection Karim Rashid created for Bitossi Ceramiche, launched in 2006 and still produced in a limited edition. Totems, vases and bowls make up this series of signs and symbols. Their magnetic, vibrant colours range from fuchsia to pistachio green and from canary yellow to silver. Each piece is slip cast in white clay. Every geometric and graphic element is repeated endlessly, in form and decoration alike, in the designer's distinctive style.
Born in Egypt, Karim Rashid lives and works in New York and is known for his democratic approach to design. An eclectic figure, he moves between interiors, fashion, furniture, art and music. His works are part of many permanent collections and are exhibited in galleries worldwide. Bitossi Ceramiche makes the collection in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. The flower vase is the tallest of the Simbolik vases, and it holds a single stem or stands alone as a sculpture.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche SIMBOLIK flower vase by Karim Rashid turns a simple bloom into a graphic sign. The mouth opens at the top as a pink flower with a deep navy interior. A tapered lime green cone carries it upwards. Below, a navy hourglass forms a stable base. Three stacked elements and a glossy glaze give the piece a joyful, pop character. It is a designer vase for a console or a sideboard, produced in a limited edition of 199 pieces.
