Simbolik is the first collection Karim Rashid created for Bitossi Ceramiche, launched in 2006 and still produced in a limited edition. Totems, vases and bowls make up this series of signs and symbols. Their magnetic, vibrant colours range from fuchsia to pistachio green and from canary yellow to silver. Each piece is slip cast in white clay. Every geometric and graphic element is repeated endlessly, in form and decoration alike, in the designer's distinctive style.
Born in Egypt, Karim Rashid lives and works in New York and is known for his democratic approach to design. An eclectic figure, he moves between interiors, fashion, furniture, art and music. His works are part of many permanent collections and are exhibited in galleries worldwide. Bitossi Ceramiche makes the collection in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. Next to a Simbolik bowl or vase, the totem builds a colourful still life on a console or a coffee table.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche SIMBOLIK four-piece totem by Karim Rashid balances four symbols in a slender vertical line. A black disc with a white cross crowns the piece. Beneath it, a lime green hourglass rests on a white bone-shaped element. A large pink X forms the base and gives the totem its dynamic stance. The glossy finish makes every surface shine, and the silhouette changes as you walk around it. It is a luxury designer sculpture produced in a limited edition of 199 pieces.
