Nathalie Du Pasquier is an artist and designer who was part of the Memphis Group, founded by Ettore Sottsass, in the early 1980s. Her surface designs have adorned fabrics, carpets, furniture and laminates. Since 1987 she has been primarily dedicated to painting. Her works have been exhibited in galleries and institutions all over the world.
Bitossi Ceramiche has produced several of her ceramics, from Carrot by Memphis to the Totems of 2018 for the Apalazzo Gallery. The seven vase-sculptures are composed of several elements and coated with contrasting glazes. They are made with the potter’s wheel in Montelupo Fiorentino, where Bitossi was founded in 1921. Next to the other sculptures of the series, it forms a colourful skyline.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche NATHALIE DU PASQUIER sculpture is one of seven vase-sculptures presented in 2018. A wide glossy black cylinder with two side handles and a sage green drum sit on a black stem and round foot. Each part is wheel-thrown and glazed on its own, with glossy and matte surfaces set side by side. The piece translates the pictorial vision of the artist into ceramic volumes. It is a luxury designer sculpture for a living room, a hallway or a collector's shelf.
