The Historical Archive Reissues faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. The originals are kept today in the Bitossi Archive in Montelupo Fiorentino. Each reissue carries the inventory number of the original piece on its base, together with the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli.
Painter, sculptor and above all ceramist, Londi liked to give a human face to everyday objects. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes his designs in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. As its name suggests, the box is made for sweets, but it can also keep small treasures. On a sideboard or a bookcase, it becomes a witty sculptural presence.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO Sweet Box reissues a 1964 design by Aldo Londi. It takes the shape of a human head, with a long nose, round eyes and a small smiling mouth. The lid forms the top of the head, with finely incised hair and a round knob. Brown incisions draw every detail on a glossy white ground. Calm and slightly ironic, the face gives the box the presence of a small bust. It is produced in a limited edition of 399 pieces.
