Green Line takes its name from the Green Line of Beirut, a symbol of the city after the Lebanese civil war. It was the demarcation line that separated Muslim West Beirut from Christian East Beirut along Damascus Street. Fabio Novembre focuses on the unstoppable resilience of nature, reborn from the ruins and horrors of war. In his words, “a flower will grow again above every human error”. Presented in 2009, the series consists of four sculptural single-flower vases, slip cast in white clay.
After graduating in architecture, Fabio Novembre opened his studio in Milan in 1994. He works with some of the most influential brands in the furniture sector. He is considered one of the leading figures of new Italian design. Bitossi Ceramiche makes the series in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. With its two stems, this vase creates a small dialogue of heights on a console or a windowsill.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche GREEN LINE two-stem vase by Fabio Novembre sets two slender tubes of different heights on a single base. They grow side by side like two plants reaching for the light. The flat base has irregular, broken edges that evoke a fragment of ruined ground. A matte black glaze with a porous, lava-like texture covers the whole piece. It is a designer vase for two single flowers, with a quiet sculptural presence. Its message is one of resilience and rebirth.
