The Historical Archive Reissues, launched in 2003, faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. The originals are kept today in the Bitossi Archive in Montelupo Fiorentino. Each reissue carries the inventory number of the original and the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli on its base.
As art director, Londi opened a season of research into new materials, techniques and colours at Bitossi. This vase shows his freedom with glaze and colour. At 42 cm high, it is a luxury designer vase for a sideboard, a fireplace or a reading corner. Its green palette looks especially good next to plants and natural wood.

This Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO vase reissues a 1963 design by Aldo Londi. Its generous, barrel-shaped body closes into a short neck with a rolled rim. A dark central band is filled with round glossy spots in green, yellow, olive and brown. Above and below, a deep green glaze with fine vertical streaks frames the decoration. The effect is rich and painterly, like a Pop Art canvas in ceramic. It is produced in a limited edition of 199 pieces.
