The Historical Archive Reissues faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. The originals are kept today in the Bitossi Archive in Montelupo Fiorentino. Each reissue carries the inventory number of the original piece on its base, together with the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli.
Painter, sculptor and above all ceramist, Londi often moved between surface decoration and three-dimensional form. Here the relief tiles turn the vase into a small sculpture. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes it in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. It is a luxury designer vase for a collector's shelf or a strong corner of the living room.

100% Made in Italy
This Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO vase reissues a 1963 design by Aldo Londi. Its tall, spindle-shaped body is widest at the centre and tapers towards both ends. Around the middle, a band of dark brown clay carries small bow-shaped tiles applied in relief. The tiles are glazed in blue, grey and turquoise, and cast soft shadows on the surface. Above and below, a speckled matte white frames the decoration. It is a rare piece, produced in a limited edition of only 99 pieces.
