The Historical Archive Reissues faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. The originals are kept today in the Bitossi Archive in Montelupo Fiorentino. Each reissue carries the inventory number of the original piece on its base, together with the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli.
Londi was a painter, a sculptor and above all a ceramist. He worked with Bitossi for more than fifty years, first as art director and later as a collaborator. The contrast between the quiet craquelure and the graphic stripes makes this vase a strong accent on a shelf. It also pairs well with other pieces from the Archive.

100% Made in Italy
This Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO vase reissues a 1957 design by Aldo Londi. Its slender body rises from a narrow base and widens towards the shoulder, then tapers into a small neck. The lower part is painted in matte white with a fine craquelure. The upper part is ringed with black stripes on glossy turquoise, like a stack of thin discs. The meeting of two textures and two moods gives the piece a surprisingly modern look. It is produced in a limited edition of 199 pieces, a true collector's piece of Italian ceramic art.
