Stamp engraving was introduced by Aldo Londi among the decorative techniques of Bitossi in 1956. Here the stamps become a compact graphic sign on a large field of colour. The Historical Archive Reissues bring back pieces created between the 1950s and the 1970s, now kept in the Bitossi Archive. Each carries the inventory number of the original and the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli on its base.
Londi was a painter, a sculptor and above all a ceramist, and he worked with Bitossi for over fifty years. The company still makes his designs in Montelupo Fiorentino, where it was founded in 1921. On a kitchen shelf or a sideboard, the yellow vase brings a sunny, Mediterranean mood. It looks great next to the orange horse vase of the same collection.

100% Made in Italy
This Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO vase reissues a 1962 design by Aldo Londi. Its full, ovoid body closes into a short neck with a neat rim, like a ripe fruit. On the front, a diamond of small stamped squares stands out in dark relief. A glossy yellow glaze with a fine crackle covers the whole surface. It is simple and warm, with the joyful character of the best Italian ceramics of the 1960s. This second edition is limited to 199 pieces.
